Dr. Manish Patel is an Assistant Professor at the University of Delhi, specializing in Hindi Bhakti Poetry and Translation Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Hindi Literature from the University of Delhi, along with an M.Phil. in Hindi Translation from JNU, and degrees (B.A., B.Ed., and M.A.) in Hindi from BHU, Varanasi.
With teaching experience at Aarhus University, Denmark (2019–2021), Dr. Patel has actively contributed to promoting Hindi as a global language, especially for international learners. His research primarily explores medieval devotional poetry and its socio-political contexts, while his passion for translation studies complements his academic pursuits.
He has authored Basic Practical Hindi (2025) and has been consistently engaged in research and publication. Beyond academics, Dr. Patel enjoys cooking, traveling, swimming, practicing taekwondo, and spending time with friends.
