Ms. Monalisa is a full-time Research Scholar in English (Linguistics) at GLA University, Mathura. She holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Patna University.

Her research interests lie in sociolinguistics, multilingualism, language variation, identity construction, language attitudes, and the interaction between language, culture, and society. She is particularly engaged in the study of linguistic landscapes, code-switching practices, and discourse analysis within contemporary socio-cultural contexts.

She has presented research papers at various national and international conferences on themes including language and identity, multilingual education under NEP 2020, and cultural dimensions of public signage. In addition to her research pursuits, she has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant, contributing to courses in English Communication for Professional Purposes.

Equipped with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills and proficiency in linguistic tools such as Praat and NVivo, she is committed to advancing scholarly inquiry and contributing meaningfully to language research and academic discourse.
