Dr. Gowhar Ahmad Wani is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. Prior to his current role, he served as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at Kuniya College of Arts & Science, Kerala, and as a Lecturer at Cluster University Srinagar. He has also taken on academic leadership roles including Research Coordinator, AISHE Coordinator, and Research Guide.
Dr. Wani has extensive experience in research methodology, quantitative techniques, econometrics, and sustainable development studies. His research interests include sustainable tourism, environmental sustainability, service quality, sustainable infrastructure, sustainable livelihoods, poverty, finance, and index construction and modelling. He has published extensively in reputed national and international journals, edited academic books, and contributed chapters to scholarly volumes.
He has actively participated as a resource person, moderator, convenor, organizing secretary, editor, and reviewer in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes. His scholarly contributions have been recognized with multiple national and international awards for research excellence.
