Dr. Alok Kumar Verma is an accomplished academic, researcher, and administrator currently serving as Assistant Professor and Deputy Dean at the Maharishi School of Humanities, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida. He holds a PhD from the Centre for Gandhian Thought and Peace Studies, Central University of Gujarat, with doctoral research focused on Buddhism, meditation, and Vipassana practices within the Theravada tradition.
Dr. Verma has extensive teaching and research experience in history, Buddhist studies, Indian philosophy, peace studies, and Indian knowledge traditions. He has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Indian History, Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Archaeology, Mental Health and Peace, Vipassana Meditation, Religion and Culture, and Indian Philosophy. He has received several national and international awards, including the Global Teacher Award, and has been a recipient of the UGC National Fellowship.
